People close to me will most likely tell you that I like to joke around ALL the time. I am very sarcastic and I like to crack jokes. I walked into my classroom for the first time yesterday. I remember before walking in I had so much excitement I felt like I was a little kid in the toy store. I took my key, unlocked the door, opened it up, walked in...... and saw something that I wasn't expecting. I had so many cabinets and countertop space. I had a back wall that was completely bare except for the two tack strips that were randomly placed. The front wall had a whiteboard with a small bulletin board on each side, a teachers desk, a rectangle table, 25 student desks, two random tables in the back on the room, another table behind the teachers desk and a cart full of computers. Now you are probably thinking, "What are you complaining about?", well, It is so bare and there really is not any bulletin board space that I am overwhelmed and unsure how I am going to pull this altogether in one whole day. I have recruited family to come and help put my room together on Friday.
This is what it looks like now..... Wish me luck that Friday night this will look MUCH different.

Ready for the Ride
Hey! I am definitely new to the blogging world. I don't know how many times I have said I wanted a blog, but didn't (and still don't) know how to even begin. I always thought of myself as being pretty technologically savvy, but when it came to Blogging, the only thing I knew how to do was read them and find them. I will take any help and advice I can get.
Let me introduce myself, My name is Vicki and I am just starting my third year teaching. I decided to switch districts this year and I am extremely overwhelmed. This year I am teaching 5th grade, last year I taught 4th and the year before I taught 1st and 2nd grade. Hopefully one day I will stay in one grade for more then a year. I have an amazing 8 year old son who is definitely my whole world. When I am not at work, I am either with my family or spending time with friends.
Well, I am buckling up and getting ready for this new ride - blogging.
